Oggi, 1° dicembre 2009, entra in vigore il trattato di Lisbona. Per l’occasione si terrà a Lisbona una cerimonia organizzata dal governo portoghese, dalla presidenza svedese e dalla Commissione europea. La Commissione ritiene che il nuovo trattato comporterà nuovi e importanti vantaggi per i cittadini e chiuderà per il prossimo futuro il dibattito istituzionale. L’Unione europea potrà quindi dedicarsi pienamente alla ricerca di un’uscita indolore dalla crisi economica e finanziaria e portare avanti la strategia UE 2020 per una crescita più “verde”.
