L’Ipalmo è un istituto internazionalistico nato agli inizi degli anni ’70 con la mission di sensibilizzare il panorama politico, economico e culturale italiano sui temi di politica internazionale, i rapporti Nord-Sud, la cooperazione allo sviluppo. Oggi il mondo ha assunto una nuova configurazione, che caratterizzerà i prossimi 20-40 anni e che possiamo definire post-Pittsburgh .
Un mondo sempre più multipolare, figlio della tumultuosa globalizzazione succeduta alla fine del mondo bipolare della Guerra Fredda il cui sbocco positivo vede una governance multilaterale.
In questo quadro ci stiamo concentrando su quella che riteniamo sia per l’Italia e l’Europa la principale sfida dei prossimi anni: la costruzione di un’area integrata euromediterranea capace di organizzarsi e di programmare il proprio sviluppo. Una zona in grado di essere competitiva con gli schemi che prevarranno nelle altre grandi aree forti del mondo come in parte già avvenuto: l’ Asia dell’Est attorno alla Cina, l’America Latina attorno al Brasile, l’Asia del Sud attorno all’India.
Su questa direzione l’Ipalmo ha cominciato a dare un contributo. Consapevoli del fatto che la sfida del nuovo millennio è sfruttare l’enorme serbatoio di conoscenze e informazioni che esistono negli organismi di ricerca politica presenti come think tanks in ogni regione del mondo, non pretendiamo di essere esaustivi con le nostre proposte ma pensiamo, anche attraverso il sito Ipalmo e il blog di Gianni De Michelis, di promuovere una discussione provocando risposte e reazioni, ma anche critiche sui temi da cui dipendono il futuro del nostro Paese e della nostra comunità

Ho riascoltato per ben tre volte il messaggio in replay. Estremamente lucida l’analisi delle strategie globali della era. Come ho già avuto modo di dire servono persone come l’On. De Michelis a far luce nella grande confusione che si affaccia nelle menti di molti, molti ancora dei quali hanno solo conoscenze ed esperienze limitate, direi assai provinciali, anche quando provinciali non sono e che non sanno individuare le autostrade che portano ai grandi obiettivi e che non sanno parare i colpi che il mercato spara sul cammino delle aziende e ancor di più delle intere nazioni. Saper non improvvisare in questo, forse è tutto, Ipalmo quindi per me, può veramente essere utile a noi tutti.
Non pretendo comunque di partecipare come invitato in discussione un campo così vasto di impegni intellettuali in campo economico, monetario e finanziario, non ne ho la preparazione,chiedo al On. De Michelis, di far arrivare, mio tramite, ad alcune Aziende del Padovano e a altre del Vicentino, che potrebbero consorziarsi,e che ora soffrono, qualche intuizione preziosa maturata dalla Sua conoscenza, qualche idea che possa costituire valore nella loro sfida a mercati già da ora da noi ben individuati e che possono divenire ottimi clienti. Tali aziende di cui sopra intendono porsi in una fascia elevata di competenza produttiva e di target di prodotti alla commercializzazione, sapendo solo così, di poter affrontare con meno rischio il Mercato.
Invio mie coordinate e chiedo di incontrare l’On. Gianni De Michelis nel Veneto, se possibile, per discutere di questo ultimo argomento.
